Electronics Sourcing Intern
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sourcing Intern to join our dynamic Electronics Sourcing team. As a Sourcing Intern, you will be integrated into the day-to-day activities of the Sourcing and Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience in the field of Sourcing, Procurement, and Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in researching and identifying cost savings
- Support in the negotiation of pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive advantage and cost efficiency
- Support initiatives related to vendor risk mitigation.
- Support in maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation
Education and Experience Profile
- Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business and/or Supply Chain, International Trade or related field
- Motivated self-starter committed to learning the ins and outs of the Sourcing department structure and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in a professional setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Willingness to study reference materials, ask questions and resolve problems
- Strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to grow from constructive feedback
- Ability to interact with various levels of management while being positive and professional
- Ability to multi-task & prioritize with excellent follow-through and task completion
- Thrives in a fast-paced, often-changing environment
- Flexible and positive attitude; able to work independently and within teams
