As our ELECTRICAL RF ENGINEE you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design antennas and transponder products and optimize for manufacturing
  • Develop sensing capabilities on passive RFID tags
  • Run RFID simulations on new product requirements and ideas
  • Design of RFID testing devices for the development of new sensing transponder products
  • Align HID’s RFID measurement capabilities and analysis capabilities with customer/partner requirements as well as requirements from international standardization
  • Support of Manufacturing Engineering and Production in setting up a process control for maintaining correct RFID performance on volume products.
  • Research new technologies for sensors, antennas, transponders and packaging.
  • Perform analysis of competitor products and benchmark them versus HID products
  • Define test procedures and qualification plans for the new products in collaboration with the Test Engineering team
  • Develop products according to HID’s product development process. Follow tasks and timelines.
  • Make the project/product risk assessment; evaluate costs, planning and alternatives
  • Set up of new products including BOM and documents (product specifications and technical product requirements) in HID’s global collaboration tool
  • Actively support in special engineering tasks like group’s global engineering activities
  • Ensure all activities within their area of control is conducted in a manner that complies with environmental control procedures and does not create unnecessary environmental impacts
  • Monitor and ensure compliance to environmental operational controls and compliance with applicable legal and other requirements

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Technical degree in RF electronics, micro-electronics or equivalent.
  • Experience in design RFID tags.
  • Knowledge in sensing technology (temperature, strain, humidity,…)
  • Knowledge of SRF calculations and approximation methods.
  • Knowledge of RFID chips and major manufacturers
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly and packaging methods would be an advantage.
  • Experience in SCRUM methodology

 

Language Skills                   

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

 

Computer Skills     

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge on Autocad, CST and Mathcad is a plus
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Jira is an asset

Work Requirements

  • Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Travel and fieldwork may include international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid Passport.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
