Supply Chain Manager

Curries (an ASSA ABLOY brand) has just opened a Supply Chain Manager’s position. This role will be based 100% on-site out of our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, Iowa.

What would you do as our Supply Chain Manager?

You will be responsible for providing leadership and support across the purchasing functions including production, maintenance, and services and driving process improvements in an office environment. 

 

You will also:

  • Lead cost reduction and supply chain improvement projects across the organization.
  • Optimize freight, purchasing, and materials management processes.
  • Drive enhancements in key business and corporate metrics (cost extraction, seamless flow, supplier rationalization, etc.).
  • Negotiate and develop strong supplier relationships while mitigating cost drivers.
  • Streamline supply chain processes for efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Provide leadership, support, and standardization within the Supply Chain team.
  • Analyze vendor spend, manage steel forecasts, and optimize material throughput.
  • Prepare reports and represent the business unit in key meetings.
  • Additional responsibilities/project as required 
  • Promote a safe work environment by following safety regulations and participating in safety programs.
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

 

The skills and experience you need:

  • Bachelors in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience as a supply chain leader with a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, best practices, and supply chain risk management.
  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of LEAN concepts and manufacturing planning systems.
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in technology and data analysis to drive process improvements.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to contribute to quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • APICS or similar certification is a plus.

 

This position may be staffed at an alternative level within the job family to align with the selected candidate’s skill set, experience, and business needs.
