NEWSSOFTWARE RELEASE

TrakaWEB release 3.15

Major New Features

  • SQL Lite Database in TT
We have migrated the underlying database on the Touch devices away from Microsoft SQL Compact Edition v3.5, to a new database technology, SQLite, improving the efficiency of the database and ensuring it supports the growing needs of the Touch application.

  • Allowance across systems
You can now restrict the number of items of a particular type that a user can take at any one time to a pre-set limit - across a number of FIFO-based systems, ensuring that users cannot abuse the system and gain access to more than their permitted allowance of items across their network.

System Improvements

  • Increased & configurable granularity in user permissions
Extended granularity of user permissions, so users can be given a more restricted set of permissions. We also introduced two new permissions for User Admin and Items Admin, so you have much more control about each individual actions a user can perform. Admin users no longer have automatic access to all areas and their roles can be better defined through the permissions they are assigned.

  • Concurrent locker door access
Enable locker users to log in one after the other without having to wait for the previous user to collect or return their item(s) and complete their transactions, reducing waiting times for users to get access to their item(s).

  • Multiple alarm outputs per relay
Extended number of alarm type events that can now be linked to a single relay output. Multiple events of a similar nature can trigger an output. E.g. a tamper event output can be triggered by any of the following events: Panel Open, Door Open Manually, Wall Tamper Open or Receptor Panel Open.
You can group alarm events into types of alerts such as showing the system is not performing optimally (e.g. low battery), warnings about potential issues (e.g. low memory, iFob not recognised) or abuse warnings (e.g. pod open, panel open).

  • Accommodate the absence of refresh tokens in an Open ID Connect implementation
Enable a user to remain logged into TrakaWEB until they choose to log out, without having to refresh tokens when using Open ID Connect authentication, enabling the user to continue working uninterrupted without having to reconnect, yet remain secure on an Open ID Connect authenticated environment.

Integrations and API Enhancements

  • Enhanced CLIQ integration
Enhancement to the existing integration with the Assa Abloy CLIQ system, improving the way changes are tracked and shared and how the API calls work, providing greater versatility in how the integration can be configured.

  • Maintaining cardholder’s prior access rights after asset return
Enhanced integration with OnGuard OpenAccess API, to ensure that a cardholder’s prior access rights are restored once a user returns an item for which they were granted temporary elevated access rights - allowing you to grant users temporary access to items to which they would not normally have access, without requiring further manual intervention.

  • Common Item Access Group support in the Integration Engine
New support for Common Item Access Groups within the Integration Engine – for integrations with other systems, enables you to control access rights to groups of items from within the native access control system and for those rights to automatically be shared with the TrakaWEB/Touch environment - rather than having to be manually set up in both systems.
