About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager of the Pacific Doors, the Finance Manager is responsible for timely, relevant, accurate, and high-quality planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support the business. You will ensure the day-to-day accounting operations are completed accurately and demonstrate best practice, whilst ensuring regulatory and legal compliance. This role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- End-to-end finance function for Pacific Door Systems Ltd
- Ensure that all statutory payments are made accurately and on time. PAYE, FBT, Provisional Tax, ACC, GST etc.
- Produce accurate and fully reconciled monthly management accounts by the due date the following month.
- Manage monthly reporting, budgeting, strategic planning financials, forecast, and cash flow.
- Ability to interpret and work with standard costing models.
- Complete all group reporting requirements including HFM reporting.
- Produce accurate and fully reconciled year-end accounts.
- Review, approve and pay weekly wages, monthly creditors, and all other required payments.
- Manage relationships with our Bank Manager and Tax Accountants.
- Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
About you
We are looking for an experienced Finance leader who has experience in a manufacturing environment. You will possess the ability to work well in a team environment, act decisively and deliver consistently. Further, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or equivalent and CA/CPA qualified
- Minimum of five years post qualification experience
- An in-depth understanding of fiscal management, processes, and reporting
- Substantial experience in accounting systems
- Traditional accounting expertise with a good working knowledge of accounting systems and principles and relevant legislation
- Proven effective leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate effectively with Senior Leaders.
