What would you do as our Operation Support Specialist 

As an Operations Support Specialist at ASSA ABLOY, you will provide vital support to Scandinavian Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams, helping to ensure smooth daily operations. You will be responsible for updating new delivery times on delayed orders and proactively following up with customer orders to reduce backlog and improve service levels. Success in this role will depend on your ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational issues, maintain a high standard of delivery performance for customers across Scandinavia, and systematically reduce the backlog of sales orders within the region.

This is a great entry-level opportunity within Supply Chain, offering the chance to build a broad foundation of knowledge and experience. It's a great starting point for anyone looking to develop their career, with the potential to grow and move into a variety of roles within Supply Chain Management.

 

This is a fixed-term cover for 12 months with the possibility of permanent employment.

 

You would also be responsible for:

  • Update and manage delivery dates on sales orders, transfer orders between central warehouse and production sites, and ensure system synchronization for intercompany orders in Scandinavia.
  • Follow up on deliveries, track missing goods, and prioritize customer orders based on urgency and business needs.
  • Perform 1st level analysis of delivery situations for specific customers, product ranges, or suppliers to support proactive issue resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, maintain strong communication, deliver high service levels, and support additional tasks and projects within Operations Scandinavia.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proficient in English and Swedish
  • An academic degree within Supply Chain operations and logistics/ production or equivalent work experience
  • Basic Excel knowledge
  • Ability to support and continuously improve systems and processes across departments

 

The ideal candidate for the Operations Solutions Specialist role is a creative problem-solver with strong analytical skills, able to approach challenges from innovative angles and find effective solutions. You are independent, results-oriented, and driven by a passion for continuous improvements, always looking for ways to optimize processes and enhance performance. With project experience, you are capable of managing tasks efficiently and meeting objectives within set timelines. In addition, you are a collaborative team player and an effective communicator, able to work well with others and clearly convey ideas and updates across different departments and stakeholders.
