Sr. Buyer

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Development: Identify and negotiate cost improvements, Quality, VMIs and Lead Times
  • Analise purchasing Strategy’s for All commodities with continues improvement
  • Analize Forecast and develop methods to detect Raw Material Demand
  • Monitor Spend and define budget Inventory Level
  • Provide Support to Internal Departments (Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Production, Customer Service, Planning)
  • Create and maintain up to date Purchasing Process/Flow Charts/Documentation
  • Implement Cost savings Projects
  • Analyze Vendor Performance/Manage Develop supplier Scorecard
  • Research Analyze Potential vendors/ Bids
  • Analize Markets and stay up to date with latest Market and Industry trends
  • leading plan for every part strategy to maintain and secure levels of inventory needed for the operation and the company
  • Create and manage purchase orders with suppliers to support production requirements
  • Manage intercompany transfers for products between sites.
  • Review Production plan according to Forecast Purchasing
  • Analise Purchasing Reports and execute actions (Purchase Expedite)
  • Communicate invoice discrepancies and resolve them with suppliers and Accounts payable
  • Update MDI - KPI assigned (Delivery, cost)
  • Ensure delivery dates are met, Ensure Quality and pricing.
  • Analise forecast/consumption to create Master Coil Steel Order Cut Plan
  • Review and manage inventory levels to achieve target levels (Monitor Inventory and Open PO Reports)
  • New Vendor Addition Process
  • Maintain part numbers up to date (Qtys, Descriptions, Units of measure, Pricing, ABC Classification)
  • Work together with Supply Chain technology to look for improvements in Software E2open/JDE
  • Maintain, Analises and Develop KPIs

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree Business administration, Industrial Eng.
  • 4 - 6 Years experience
  • APICS certification preferred
  • English – Advanced
  • Advanced Microsoft Office
  • JDE, SAP, Related
  • Teamwork
  • Proactive.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Time Management
