The ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions EMEA division leads the development within door openings and products for access solutions in homes, businesses and institutions. Our offering includes doors, door and window hardware, locks, access control and service. The division has an annual turnover of over €2 billion and over 12,000 employees, with commercial and operational activities managed through 5 Business Areas across UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa & India.

 

Purpose of the Role:
ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions EMEIA has an outstanding opportunity for a Communications Graduate at our EMEIA headquarters in Woking, UK. We are looking for an energetic, creative, and driven individual with a desire to tell meaningful stories and connect and engage with people across a global company. Join the global leader in access solutions at this one-of-a-kind opportunity and build valuable experience and relationships.
You will work with internal and external, operational as well as strategic communication projects and support the EMEIA division and our five Business Areas and four Product Segments. In this role, you will plan and execute on communication content for all types of channels, such as intranet, live studios, social media, blogs, events and more. We are seeking someone who is excellent at creating engaging content for our channel mix, including written articles and videos.
As part of this journey, you will undertake a 3 month sabbatical in the US to expand your transferable skill set through working alongside our colleagues cross divisionally.

 

Principle Responsibilities:
•    
Write, develop, and share meaningful stories and content from our divisional teams on our internal and external channels, including social media 
•    Develop copy and digital content for social media channels 
•    Write and develop blogs based on interviews with organizational leaders and teams to be shared on internal channels 
•    Develop, manage, and implement a communications project and plan from start to finish 
•    Supporting efforts focused on engagement and employee experience 
•    Produce videos for internal and external communication channels
•    Share content ideas to enhance our existing internal and external communications strategy 
•    Assist in creation of slide decks for both external corporate use and for internal needs
•    Collaborate with organizational teams across the division on stories and content to ensure all locations are being represented across all communication channels
•    Participate and collaborate with the communications team on established critical team projects already underway 
•    Work closely with our communications network, both at business area and group level, to leverage content and channels for our division

 

Essential Qualifications & Experience: 
•    
Be able to work flexibly from our Woking head office, with min 3 days a week onsite 
•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, public relations, digital media, media studies, English, journalism, or marketing at an accredited university or college 
•    Be a junior, senior, or graduate student, actively attending a university or college 
•    Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
•    Adaptable and organized, able to self-manage and prioritize, balancing various projects simultaneously to meet deadlines and project needs 
•    Fluent in English; additional European language a plus.
