Junior Quality Technician

What would you do as our Junior Quality Technician
As our Junior Quality Technician you will be a key member of the SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) Team, providing support across a range of quality day-to-day duties. The key focus on the role will be on driving continuous improvement in the company's quality performance by ensuring audits are completed on schedule and non-conformities are addressed promptly. This exciting opportunity will enable you to contribute quality input for New Product Introduction and change management activities in line with our processes.
You would also:
- Conduct internal audits, report and follow up on non-conformities, and ensure timely resolution by responsible managers.
- Handle internal equipment calibration and organise external calibration services, including logistics and purchase orders.
- Manage goods-inwards inspection, verify product compliance with company standards and support production in reducing quality issues.
- Investigate quality concerns and document outcomes.
- Measure parts, complete ISIR/PPAP documentation and compile monthly quality reports.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Is able to manage own time effectively, whilst working to tight deadlines.
- Has previous experience in a Quality role within the Industry would be advantageous.
- Has experience in metrology and internal auditing.
- Has strong IT skills – able to effective use AX, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Has excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively.
