Traka21 FAQs

General

  • The maximum number of Traka21 users is 1,000 per system.

  • After 60 seconds the audible alarm activates. The system requests that the door is closed and all keys stay locked in position until a PIN code is entered.

  • Every user can change their PIN code after they have logged in.

  • Admin users can recover PIN numbers through the administration menu. If an admin user has forgotten their PIN code, they must contact their distributor to obtain a temporary access code.

  • The system can save up to 250,000 events

  • The device should be connected to an electricity supply. An optional battery backup will maintain the system in the event of power interruptions (a fully charged battery can work up to 12 hours).

  • If the system is connected to an electricity supply the door will lock. If the optional backup battery is powering the system it will carry on working for up to 12 hours.

  • Traka21 with iFobs (without keys or optional battery) is 3.94Kg. Optional battery is an additional 0.63 Kg

  • The outer case is extruded aluminum (making it very strong and light), the inner sections are molded ABS plastic, again light and durable. The iFobs are also ABS plastic with an embedded RFID chip.

Operation

  • No, Traka21 cannot offer this option. Please contact us and we will help you choose the best solution, which suits your needs.

  • Yes. You can do it using the screen on the panel. When you choose the search option you will see current information about all keys. If a key is not in the cabinet you can check who has it, or if it is in place you will see who was the last user.

  • New users can be added by the administrator of the system. They can also grant or deny administrator rights to other users. Every system has to have at least one administrator.

  • After entering your PIN code and opening the door, you will see an amber light which indicates the return position.

  • If a key is returned to the wrong position, it will be highlighted by a red LED and the correct position will highlighted in green. The touchscreen will display the same information.

  • The alarm will activate in the following situations:

    • Someone leaves the door open
    • If an impact or shock is detected
    • Someone tries to break into the system
  • Yes. The key positions display two colours. Green LEDs indicate those keys to which this user has access. The user cannot remove keys highlighted by the red LEDs which continue to remain locked in place.

Reporting

  • No. Traka21 is a stand-alone Plug & Play solution with advanced RFID technology so the requirement for network connection or PC is not necessary. You can view all reports directly on the touch screen.

  • No. You can check all reports using the touch screen. However, if you wish to format the reports or customize them then the data can be exported in Excel format for manipulation on your computer.
